2012 CASA Volunteer Training

April 9—May 17 in-classroom training 

June 4—June 27 in-classroom training

Aug 13—Sept 20 in-classroom training

Oct 8—Nov 15 in-classroom training

CASA Volunteer initial training is 33 hours. We offer 2 learning options: 

    In-classroom training requires two/3 hour classes for six weeks. Morning and evening classes are offered. 

    June training consists of 3 hour classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning for the month of June. No evening classes will be offered in June

13th Annual Red Shoe Party

This event benefits benefiting CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate ) of Nashville and helps raise nearly 20 percent of the organization’s budget. The event will include live music, dinner, drinks, a silent auction and the annual Red Shoe Contest. Information: casa-nashville.org, 425-2383.

EVE Certificate March 2012

Excellence in Volunteer Engagement (EVE), a new initiative to recognize high quality volunteer management by nonprofits and to help increase the number of volunteers in Davidson County. It is the first such certification effort in the nation. The Excellence in Volunteer Engagement certification initiative will recognize nonprofit
agencies with effective volunteer programs and encourage other agencies to join them in improving their volunteer opportunities so that they can maximize their resources and provide the best quality services possible.
